# Create a new client

Proceed as follows to establish a new connection to a broker or to edit an existing connection

## Connect with a new client

1. Click in the sidebar on **Connection \[A]**\
   ▷ The “Connections” window opens
2. Select in the tab **MQTT \[B]** from
3. A list of all brokers already connected is displayed in the workspace **\[C]** \
   ◈ If you do not see any entries, no brokers have been connected yet \
   ◈ Brokers configured in other projects are also displayed
4. Click on **\[D]**, to connect to a new broker \

5. Configure the broker as described in the chapter  [↗ "Configure client"](/collection/english-v14/connectivity-as-a-service/connect-devices-with-abb-buildingpro/connect-devices-via-mqtt/configure-client.md) described&#x20;

## Edit client

1. Click in the sidebar on **Connection \[A]**\
   ▷ The “Connections” window opens
2. Select in the tab **MQTT \[B]** from
3. A list of all brokers already connected is displayed in the workspace **\[C]** \
   ◈ Brokers configured in other projects are also displayed
4. Click on \[**F]**, to open a connected broker \
   ▷ The [↗ "Client Details"](/collection/english-v14/connectivity-as-a-service/connect-devices-with-abb-buildingpro/connect-devices-via-mqtt/configure-client.md)&#x20;
5. Configure the broker as described in the chapter  [↗ "Configure client"](/collection/english-v14/connectivity-as-a-service/connect-devices-with-abb-buildingpro/connect-devices-via-mqtt/configure-client.md) described.
