<table><thead><tr><th width="76.33333333333331">No.</th><th>Name</th><th>Details</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>[E]</strong></td><td>Details</td><td>Opens the endpoint details</td></tr><tr><td><strong>[F]</strong></td><td>Delete endpoint</td><td>Delete the respective endpoint</td></tr><tr><td><strong>[G]</strong></td><td>Endpoint address</td><td>shows the exact address of the respective endpoint</td></tr><tr><td><strong>[H]</strong></td><td>Status</td><td>Indicates whether the connection to the respective endpoint is paused or active. ⚠ Caution: This status only indicates whether the connection was paused in Eliona. The status shows <em>not</em> whether the connection is actually successful. The connection can be shown as „Active“ even if, for example, an error exists. Whether the connection is actually successful, you can see in the ↗ endpoint details</td></tr><tr><td><strong>[I]</strong></td><td>Pause/Start</td><td>Pause/resume the connection to the respective endpoint</td></tr><tr><td><strong>[J]</strong></td><td>Endpoints</td><td>The individual endpoints</td></tr></tbody></table>

## Create a new endpoint

1. Click in the sidebar on **Connection \[A]**\
   ▷ The "Connections" window opens
2. Select in the tab **OPC UA\[B]** from In the workspace, a list of all already connected brokers is displayed **\[C]**\
   ◈ If you do not see any entries, no endpoints have been created yet\
   ◈ Endpoints that were created in other projects are also displayed
3. Click on **\[D]**, to create a new endpoint\
   ▷ The [↗ Endpoint details](/collection/english-v14/connectivity-as-a-service/gerate-mit-abb-buildingpro-verbinden/gerate-per-opc-ua-verbinden/endpunkt-details.md)

## Edit an existing endpoint

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.buildings.ability.abb/collection/english-v14/connectivity-as-a-service/gerate-mit-abb-buildingpro-verbinden/gerate-per-opc-ua-verbinden/einen-endpunkt-erstellen-und-konfigurieren.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
