## Create a rule chain

1. Make sure you are on the rule chain page.[ -> Open the rule chain page ](/collection/english-v14/documentation/alarms-rules-and-escalations/rule-chains/open-the-rule-chain-page.md)
2. Click at the top right of the page on **\[A]** <img src="/files/853a71395e0be8d2e75e75ca480113dbba60dc04" alt="" data-size="line"> .

   ▷ The **<\<Create rule chain>>** window opens.
3. Give the rule chain a name **\[B]**.
4. And give it a description **\[C]**.
5. Click Create **\[D].**

   ▷ A rule chain is created.
