# Create tickets

Tickets can be created directly, from an alarm, or from a template. A project role with write access to tickets is required for this. [-> Permissions for tickets and tasks](/collection/english-v14/documentation/tickets/rechte-fuer-tickets-und-tasks.md)

## Create directly

1. Open **Tickets**.
2. Click on **+ Ticket \[1]**.
3. Select **Create new**.
4. Fill out the form. [-> Configure ticket](/collection/english-v14/documentation/tickets/ticket-konfigurieren.md)

## Create from an alarm

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/Nyvwhz1kEMXcHf4HLuZ8/blobs/kQFFaB4MyeVr8QCpK4PO/CCB20167-4154-4006-9EE5-182A29718756.png" alt="Ticket über einen Alarm erstellen"><figcaption><p>Create ticket from an alarm</p></figcaption></figure></div>

1. Open the alarm menu via **Alarms \[A]**.
2. Click on the desired alarm **\[C]**.
3. Open **More options \[D]**.
4. Select **Create ticket \[G]**.
5. Complete the details in the ticket form and create the ticket. [-> Configure ticket](/collection/english-v14/documentation/tickets/ticket-konfigurieren.md)

The selected alarm and, if available, the associated asset are automatically transferred to the ticket form.

## Create from a template

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="https://156899794-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FNyvwhz1kEMXcHf4HLuZ8%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-ed3b4ade55bf1ebfc78561a578f62f86355841c1%2FCreate%20from%20Template.png?alt=media" alt="Ticket aus einem Template erstellen"><figcaption><p>Create ticket from a template</p></figcaption></figure></div>

1. Click on **+ Ticket \[1]**.
2. Select **Create from template \[2]**.
3. Open the desired template with **\[3]**.
4. Check and add to the transferred information and create the ticket.

How templates are created, organized, and managed is described under [-> Ticket templates](/collection/english-v14/documentation/tickets/ticket-templates.md) described.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.buildings.ability.abb/collection/english-v14/documentation/tickets/tickets-erstellen.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
