# Geräte über OPC UA verbinden

## Über OPC UA

OPC UA (Unified Architecture) ist ein moderner Standard, der die Datenübertragung in industriellen Netzwerken beschreibt. Er bietet eine sichere und zuverlässige Kommunikation zwischen Geräten und ist dabei hardware- und plattformunabhängig, was den Datenaustausch zwischen Geräten mit unterschiedlichen Betriebssystemen ermöglicht.

## Besondere Merkmale

Ein besonderes Merkmal von OPC UA ist, dass keine Formate erforderlich sind, um eingehende Daten zu konvertieren. Stattdessen werden eingehende Daten direkt den einzelnen Assets zugeordnet.

## Vorgehensweise

2. Auf diesem Endpunkt wird eine [↗ Subskription](/collection/german/pflichtbasis/platform-core/connect-hub/connectivity-as-a-service/connect-devices-via-opc-ua/create-and-configure-an-endpoint.md) erstellt.
3. In dieser Subskription werden ein oder mehrere [↗ Asset-Typen](/collection/german/pflichtbasis/assets/asset-modeling-create-templates/create-a-new-template.md) ausgewählt.
4. Einem ausgewählten Asset-Typ werden ein oder mehrere Assets dieses Typs zugewiesen.
5. Die eingehenden Werte über OPC-UA werden direkt den jeweiligen Asset-Attributen zugeordnet.
