# GETTING STARTED

This chapter is the fastest way to get a new customer or project team into ABB Ability BuildingPro and BuildingPro Suites.

The onboarding flow starts in [ABB Ability BuildingPro](https://buildings.ability.abb/), not in BuildingPro Suites directly. You first sign in, create or select a portfolio, and then use that portfolio as the entry point into BuildingPro Suites.

## Recommended Order

1. **Create or select a portfolio** in ABB Ability BuildingPro. This creates or identifies the corresponding tenant in BuildingPro Suites.
2. **Open BuildingPro Suites from the portfolio** so you are working in the correct tenant context.
3. **Check license and access status** so you know whether the selected portfolio can be used in BuildingPro Suites.
4. **Invite people to the portfolio** so they are synchronized automatically to the corresponding tenant.
5. **Continue with roles, assets, data connections, and dashboards** inside BuildingPro Suites.

## What You Will Do In This Guide

### 1. Portfolio, Access, and Users

This first chapter explains how to sign in, create or select the portfolio that becomes your tenant, open BuildingPro Suites for that portfolio, check the license state, and invite the first users.
