Platform Core Foundation

The Platform Core Foundation is the engineering and settings backbone included in every BuildingPro Suites installation as part of the Mandatory Base. It is available before you choose additional Platform capabilities or Suites and provides the essentials required to connect data sources, model and organize assets, manage users and permissions, and govern the system reliably across tenants and sites.

This section brings together the parts of BuildingPro Suites that define how the platform is structured and operated behind the scenes. In practice, the Platform Core Foundation is where administrators, integrators, and advanced users configure the shared foundation on which all higher-level capabilities run.

If you choose the Platform offering, this foundation is extended with Platform Core Extensions, including the Script Engine, API Keys, Bulk Import, and Alert & Escalation. These are additional capabilities, not a separate core.

What the Foundation Covers

Platform Core is organized into four main areas:

Why It Matters

The Platform Core Foundation ensures that all connected systems, assets, users, and settings follow the same structure and governance model. This makes the platform easier to scale, easier to secure, and easier to operate consistently across a single building or an entire portfolio.

Most user-facing capabilities in BuildingPro Suites depend on decisions made here. If the foundation is modeled and configured correctly, dashboards, analytics, automation, and Suite functionality can build on it cleanly.
