## What Is Platform?

Platform is the comprehensive solution layer of ABB Ability™ BuildingPro Suites. It builds on top of the Mandatory Base and unlocks the full set of capabilities the product has to offer, giving teams, system integrators, and service providers the complete toolbox to design, build, and operate smart building solutions tailored to any portfolio, building type, or operational requirement.

The Mandatory Base provides the foundation (connectivity, asset modeling, user management, and governance). Platform opens up everything else: dashboards, analytics, automation, spatial tools, service desk, digital twins, reporting, scripting, and open APIs.
