# Place Assets in a BIM

1. [-> Open a BIM](https://docs.buildings.ability.abb/collection/platform/bim/open-a-bim)
2. Click on **\[A]**&#x20;

   ▷ The sidebar switches to "Asset Placement" mode
3. Click on **\[B]**&#x20;

   ▷ The field **\[C]** appears
4. Click in the field **\[C]** and select one or more assets that you want to place in the BIM
5. Click on **\[D]**&#x20;

   ▷ The asset selection closes and the selected assets are displayed under **\[E]**
6. Click on **Continue \[F]**
7. Click in the BIM to place the first asset **\[H]**
8. Click on **\[G]** to confirm the placement of the asset
9. If you are adding multiple assets: Repeat the steps until you have placed all the assets
10. Repeat the steps until you have placed all the selected assets
