# Location/System tree

In order to view data from a specific meter / Datapoint, you must select the meter(s)/Datapoint(s) from the *Location/System tree* **\[A]** on the left hand side of the *Insight Analytics* interface.

### Modes

The Location/System tree can be changed using the mode selector **\[C]**

* The *Location tree* displays a hierarchical structure based on **Site** > **Location** > **Point**,
* The *System tree* displays a hierarchical structure based on **Site** > **System** > **Point**,

All sub-folders (denoted by <img src="/files/ouNRFsaeZ8gYYm7XoHw1" alt="" data-size="line">) branch out from the **main organization** folder, denoted by <img src="/files/C6DAAMZ6QVGWya34l9LP" alt="" data-size="line">. These sub folders have an "expand" icon <img src="/files/KwhRYfHwnCySEOFJ1del" alt="" data-size="line"> that you can click to show all the meters/Datapoints included in that branch. Click the <img src="/files/YSBFrYs14s90VPtfuzwb" alt="" data-size="line"> icon again to collapse the sub-branch and hide the meters/Datapoints.

#### Filtering the Location tree

If text is entered in the filter box **\[B]***, t*he tree will display only nodes that include that text in their name, or the name of one of their parents.

Clicking on the filter icon **\[D]** opens the *Filter asset list* dialog, when you can specify a number of *Sites*, a number of *Tags*, a single *Asset type* and/or a single *Class*. The tree will be limited to nodes that match these parameters.

Assets that are in any of the specified *Sites* will be displayed. If no site is selected then assets from all sites will be displayed.

You can specify whether the tree will show\
a) assets that use any of the specified Tags or\
b) only nodes that use all of the selected Tags.

Click *Reset* **\[E]** to clear all filters and display the full Location/System tree.

#### **Identifying meter types**

All meters/Datapoints in the *Location tree* are assigned icons depending on the meter type. For example:

When you have selected meter(s)/Datapoints(s), you must also specify a *Time Period* for the data from that meter.
