# Baseline & Factors

*Baseline & Factors* provides Platform Core functions for evaluating historical conditions, defining reference values, and anticipating future developments.

Use the *Predictive Forecasting* tab to open the [*Forecast Engine*](/collection/platform/platform-core/baseline-and-factors/forecast-engine.md), where you can create continually updated forecast attributes with a configurable horizon, percentile, aggregation, and optional feature attributes.

Use [*Heating and Cooling Days*](/collection/platform/platform-core/baseline-and-factors/heating-and-cooling-days.md) to configure weather-based Heating Degree Days and Cooling Degree Days for assets.
